| Pre-season underway with new coach, Mark Garratt |
Preparations for the new season are underway in earnest at Orpington RFC. Pre-season training is every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm and the new-look coaching team headed up by Mark Garratt, who is already qualified to RFU Level 2 and well on the way to achieving the Level 3 coaching award, are looking for new players of any standard to improve the strength and depth of the whole squad.
The first session saw 30 players, including a number of new and returning faces, put through their paces and there is every reason to believe that Orpington can build on their strong performances of the last two seasons to mount a serious challenge in Kent 2 in the upcoming season. |

| Still Calling all Old Boys (and Girls!) |
Andy Gibson is still keen to arrange an Old Boy's reunion. Several people did come to the beer festival weekend but there will be many more opportunities to come.
